I shot the rifle after pillar and bed job a few weeks ago with mixed results. The first five shots were for fouling purpose in the nine ring shot at 50yrds. I like that it did not change a whole lot after taking the scope off for bedding job. I then made a adjustment with 8 clicks to the left and it tracked I think pretty good. Knowing I was going to shoot some different brands of ammo, I made no more adjustments. Groups were 5 shots at 50yrds, large red dots first then small dots second. The best groups were shot last . I still need to find the ammo the rifle likes best... Edited by coyote95 - July/18/2012 at 06:31 |

Nice rifle. I had a couple of the Wby XXII semi-autos that they made previously. Great shooters and typical Weatherby style.
Mine didn't care for the bulk 22 ammo you can find at Walmart, but sure liked the CCI Mini-mag loads.

I have had good results with the wolf black box. Which shells shot the 10 o'clock small dot That's not too bad.

I don't think you can find a nicer looking .22 & with an Anschitz action to boot.Good luck with her.
FYI I've had good shooting with Fed Gold match[the cheapies @ $35 a brick]even better than Eley black box but then every riffle is different.

Lile the last two groups were shot with Fiocchi SM320 super match which I thought grouped pretty good just don't want to spend that much for plinking ammo. I to have shot some good groups with the wolf match target and recently pick up 500rds thinking this might be the go to ammo. I want to shoot some more rounds before cleaning, because it did seem to tighten up as I shot. In the past I have been cleaning barrel after each shooting session.
Ernie thanks and I will have to give the feds a try.
