I don't know if I've asked this before so I'll just ask again. Can anyone tell me what they think of AIM SPORTS 4X32 TACTICAL SCOPE WITH FIBER OPTIC SIGHT. I'm still looking for a good scope, not too expensive, to mount on a Kalinka Original BP-02 AK, Saiga, Vepr Low Profile Centered Side Mount to Weaver Rail for my WASR 10 AK47. I've read some good reviews BUT I'm wondering if they were writen by AIM SPORTS or maybe the dealers tying to sell them. Here's a couple of links to them. Thank

Personally, I wouldn't touch it.
There is a long-standing misconception - partially perpetuated by us here - that an optic is always best. I am actually a huge advocate of open sights. Having engaged targets out to 500 yards with open sights, I can say with some authority that an optic isn't always a good thing - and a cheap optic (build quality) is far worse than the dependability of iron sights. If your budget is $100 for an optic, I'd hold off and spend time with open sights at reasonable ranges.

I whole heartedely agree with RC! For the price, that scope screams headache after headache. Irons are reliable and accurate if you learn them.

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

I replied in the shoutbox but I'll do it here as well
AIM scopes are basically rebranded NCstar, leapers,etc.etc. Chinese JUNK..Now I'll admit there is some good chinese, but these aren't. If you want a really cheap, but "usable" scope here's a couple recomendations: They're cheap, pretty durable, and the Diamonds are fast to acquire. They're shotgun scopes so 75 (or 50?) yard parallex, but that shouldn't matter.
Never tried KONUS myself, but local store sells a few, and so far, they've gotten better reports than Tasco.
Only thing is: For putting on an AK, you'll probably want Weaver "Extension Rings", for the eye relief.
