I've been shooting at least 30 arrows almost every day, for the past 2 months, concentrating on form and shot execution first and foremost.  I have my bow well-tuned and everything dialed-in.  I only stop each day when I'm satisfied that my shot mechanics are as good as I'm capable of so I always leave on a high note.  My back and shoulder muscles are getting back into condition enough that I'm holding pretty steady.  I have to say, I'm shooting about as well as I ever have, slapping arrows together into a nice wad at 50 yards.  Provided I maintain my composure and I have a clean shot opportunity, any nice buck that gets within 50 yds of me is in GRAVE danger... only because I don't have any sight pins for distances beyond 50 yds.

C'mon October... I can't wait!!!!!!  I LIVE for Fall!
Ted

Great desipline!! It will surely pay off. I'm not shooting near as often as I should but, I am confident that the shot will be dead on when it presents. I have stepped up to a new fun challenge lately shooting some local competitions. Top shot of the night takes home a small collective bonus making it worth while. The group that shot last week was impressive. I didn't shoot especially strong that night getting use to my new release. A tru-ball copperhead. I really like it and I will soon be shooting better than ever.
Our season starts Sept 8 and I'm all but sleepless over it. Still movin the cameras around lookin for a shooter buck but I'm content taggin does opening day if I haven't located ole mossy horns.
Also joined a new club that I have yet to do any serious scouting on. Learning new ground is always a work in progress. After I tag a couple I will get out there and see what it has to offer.
Today is down so 12 days and counting. Bring it!!
Take care of Soldiers, Show em how its done and do it with em, Run to the Fight & and hold your ground! I die my men go home! If you're a NCO and this ain't you. GET OUT! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I started shooting last month.  On Saturday I finally stepped up after 15 years of bowhunting and ditched my limbsaver dampener and bought a Bee Stinger stab.  Wow.  What was I thinking all those years?  I shot it against the new Octane 7"-11" adjustable stab, and the "B" was the clear winner.  I "yanked" one of four arrows 1 1/2" to the right at 20yds at the shop.  The other three I pulled out of the target with one hand.  I can't wait for Oct. 1 either.

P.S. Graham--bought three of the G5 SGH's too.  Set them up on the old trusty feathermax.  What a great old girl she is.  They make a heck of a "thwack" on the block target, too!  Thanks for the recommendation.

It looks like they would eat any target if you shoot it a lot.

Don't forget to paper tune your quiver and check your fletching screws for tightness.

Good luck Ted. Looks like I will have to forgo bow hunting this year...maybe forever. Between my back issues and osteo-arthritis in both hands, I can't draw / hold without pain. It kills my concentration. Oh well, still got rifles! I hope everybody has a safe and successful season(s).  Yippee
