The past month I have watched it rain within 3 miles in all directions from here but not at my property. Yesterday my rain guage showed just over 1/4". Hopefully this will allow enough moisture in the air to keep the rain from evaporating before it hits the ground here. Big storms are lining up and Tornado warnings are in place for this evening. Wooopppiiee.

Once again the solid line of storms approaching split around us and reformed to the east. Ended up with 1/3" total for the weekend. Tulsa had close to 3 " Saturday afternoon and night. A small Tornado spun up about 20 miles north of us without much damage. Another struck Rogers AR.

Sounds like some places are getting some rain finally. My mother-in-law said they drove from Missouri to Bettendorf, IA to watch a grandson play soccer, but it rained all weekend. We went 30 days without measurable precipitation here. Got 2" inches of snow about 10 days ago and today it actually rained. Another 1/4" is forecast tomorrow. I've got a hillside where I thinned out about 40 Ponderosas and need to reseed it with native grasses. I might...might...not have to run sprinklers on it into November.
