I am wanting a new range finder and have been looking at the Leica CRF 1600 and the Bushnell Fusion 1600 binos. I do a lot of long rang target shooting for fun and would also use them for hunting. I know Leicas are nice but really like the idea of the larger 10 or 12 power magnification on the Fusions. I need help, any suggestions?

I have had the Leica for little more than a year, an they work. It ranged a barn out to 1967 yards. It seems on the reel hot days, it does not want to work as well. A tree at 1100 yards. I think it works fine. The best thing about it is that it fits in your shirt pocket.

I had the opportunity to look through nearly all the rangefinders and I went with Leica 1600-B. The clarity of the optics is outstanding.

I have the Leica 800 crf rangefinder and I love it. It's small enough to fit in my shirt pocket for when I bowhunt. I also take it on my rifle hunts. The 8x view I get on it is excellent. If I need more magnifcation I will use either my riflescope or 10x binoculars.
I haven't done any research on the Bushnell's but I would have to ask the "optics experts" around here to find out how good the optics are on it and base your decision on that. I like the idea of rangefinding binoculars (and have used Leica's Geovids in the past) but I don't know about the quality of the Fusions.
I hope that helps.
