Hi all. I was wondering what your take is on the Redfield Rampage 20-60x80mm vs. the Konus 20-60x80mm. I have heard wonderful things about the Konus for the price, but I found a deal on the Rampage for 200 bucks (which is about the same as the Konus 20-60x80mm) and would really appreciate some input ASAP.
Which will have the better optical clarity? Which is the best value taking this deal into consideration? Thank you! link deleted by MODERATOR One and only chance. I am sorry about the link. I was in a rush and didn't read the rules carefully. However, does anybody have input on this subject? Please :(

I've not been impressed with the redfield products I've used. Whats your max budget? Maybe we can recommend the best "bang" for the buck so to speak with a budget idea and a useage.

My max budget was 250 which really limited me. I have heard a lot of good reviews about Knous optical quality and was going to get that because it fit my budget. When I saw the Redfield sale I figured it was the better option since it Redfield is owned by Leupold now and the glass used is the same as in their SX ventana scopes. Usually the 20-60x80 Redfield is 278+ whereas the deal was for 200. I assumed the image quality would be equal to that of the Konus but have no idea really and the warranty from Redfield seemed nice.

I have seen some pretty positive comments on the Redfield rampage spotter. From what I read and from the write and Alaskan Guide who made the comments, I tend to think you did OK for your money.

I can hope so, but I still have a chance to turn and buy a Konus instead. Not many people seem to have experience with both unfortunately though. :(

Chances are that at similar price points you will get similar performance. I'd say just wait for the Redfields and just go use them. I would advise you not to get very caught up in performances at that price level. Just use them and don't worry about it unless some flaw jumps right out at you.

I would hope so. It's just so many people online seem to swear that the Konus is almost like a Kowa and miles better than anything else in the price range. o_O

So I'm compelled to ask the moderator, so I don't make the same mistake; what infraction was posted here that got deleted?
I went and logged out, and re-read the forum rules for registration and don't see anything preventing a poster from including links to items for sale so what was deleted in the original post? just trying to learn.... regards, mitch
