I have an Anschutz 1710 on its way in and want to put a good scope on it, however after paying for the rifle, the scope dollars are somewhat limited. Most of the shooting with this rifle will be on paper and I a leaning towards a Weaver Grand Slam 6x20x44. I would like some pros and cons about this scope. Also any other suggestions on scopes in this general price range would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Shelby

You wont find a better scope in that price range. You will get every bit out of your money by going with the Grand Slam as compared to other scopes in that price range. Brightness clarity and all around performance this would be my choice every time if I wanted to spend less then 350. Just cant think of any cons for it. Another comparable scope would be the Bushnell 4200.....they offer a 6-24X40. Its about 3oz's heavier and almost 2 inches longer...if you dont mind the extra size. Its in the 380 price range and is very much worth that as well. It offers another 4X in magnification that could come in handy while target shooting.
