What scope and rings would you suggest for an M1A SOCOM that would be good for hunting and targets out to say no longer than 300 yards? I have an Aimpoint (wish I could mount that lower) on it, but would like to use it for hunting this fall, too. I want to keep the optics low, too, so any ring suggestions, too?

A.R.M.S. #18 M1A/M14 mount, Leupold PRW rings and a Burris 1.75-5x32 LRS{/url] would be awesome.
Or the [url=http://www.riflescopes.com/products/321546M/bushnell_elite_3200_1.5-4.5x32.htm]Bushnell Elite 3200 1.5-4.5x32 FireFly. Comes with a real nice $100.00 gear bag for free.

Neither of the scopes had the eye relief necessary for a Scout setup, such as the SOCOM, but I liked the optics. Maybe a pistol scope?

It should also accept the standard receiver mount???? You are so limited with scout applications. How about the Burris on the ARMS and then an EOTech on the scout and you could swap them out depending on the situation.
I know I know, its real easy for me to spend your money. |
