Just wondering from those of you who have a 700 P, if the trigger on this rifle is at all adjustable? Also, what is the desired trgger pull lbs. for sniper rifles?
Thanks in advance! |

I don't own a "P", but I have adjusted the trigger on my Remington VS and it was a piece of cake. It breaks clean @ 2 1/4 lbs. |

Thanks guys. Dale, nice lawyer comment!
Today at the range, I was talking to BR Competitor and he mentioned Jewel Trigger for the 700! I see they are at (competitor). They are expensive, but I see they are the best! Anyone carry these online, besides (competitor)? |

Jewel triggers are the gold standard of BR rigs, but not a real good choice for a field rifle. A worked Remington trigger, a Timney or Rifle Basix would be a better choice for a, (in your words), a sniper rifle, IMO. |

Nothing wrong with the Remington trigger. Clean it up and lighten up. Snipers Hide is an excellent source for DIY trigger job. Personally I recommend sending it to a good smith.
For a field rifle I prefer 2.5 to 2.75 lbs.
I am an oddity but I like the feel of the Remington triggers |
