Why are so many of the nikon's on the sample list new refurbished?

Is there a problem with them going bad?

I am really interested in one of thier tactical models but want to make sure they don't have a high return rate.

thanks

I don't think they have a high return rate at all, but like most optic companies at some point have scopes returned back to them for whatever reason. It could be minor, like a piece of deb-re on the lens. They then go back and fix the internal problem and send it to places like SWFA, and then we place it on the samplelist and sell it.

What is a good suggestion for a tactical model scope with varible power.

With the high side of 12 to 16 power.

The Nikon's go for around $800.00 on the sample list. That's the price range I need to be in.

Thanks

I have a 4x16x50 Nikon Tactical on a Savage custom varmint rifle and its awesome. I would have no fear of a Nikon refurbished scope....
