Looking for some scope options for a 10/22.

Criteria:

-under $200 (scope only)
-prefer 3-9x40 or something similiar
-illuminated reticle (idealy located by the turrets)

Any ideas besides a BSA or Bushnell Banner series?

Thanks for the help

what kind of shooting will you be doing, general plinking, long range, small game? As 22LR gets more expensive and cost per shoot will go up, the general grade of 22's will increase.

General short range plinking/varmits. I would think 100yds or less.

Thanks,

I would also keep a close watch on the sample list as well. You just might snag a good deal on a better scope.

I've used the crossfires before with decent results.  I had a V-Brite reticle in one of them.  Worked as advertised.  and for your budget, the only one I'd consider.

I think I would lean more towards this one since it has an AO and is not a set parallax of 100yds.

thats a good one but not illuminated.

This one has illumination but on the eyepiece not beside the turrets as requested, also it has a side focus but I'm unsure its minimum focus distance.   I've not tested this one so unsure of its durability.

BTW -

This scope would be noticably better in glass quality than anything mentioned and only slightly over budget.  Its got Illumination but again not positioned where you want it.  Its also fixed paralax, which i know you didn't stip you wanted it, but should still be ok.

I saw that too, very tempting. The weaver looks tempting also for a flat top ar I'm building.
