Hi everyone,
I picked up a pair of porros labeled "Zeiss," but I can't for the life of me identify what exactly they are! They appear superficially similar to the Zeiss Jena Deltrintems and Jenoptems, but with some differences: 1. There is no Zeiss or Zeiss Jena corporate logo, only the text "Zeiss Coated Optics" 2. There is no model name, only the specs and serial: "Size 8x30 Field 75° No 12900" 3. It uses unpainted flathead screws, including on the angle gauge. 4. The angle gauge itself doesn't look like any of the Jena ones. 5. There is a small crest on the front that is a diamond with a C inside of it with an even smaller S inside the C. 6. There is no indication of where they were manufactured. Any insight into who made these, model, when they were produced, etc.? |

I prefer Porro prism binoculars especially those made in Japan. (i.e. Minox BD 10x44 BP) 8>)
