SS 6x42 is an excellent scope and while the 3-9x42 is more versatile, the 6x will work fine for most things.
One thing I would really emphasize is to make sure you are getting it with a MilQuad reticle rather than a MilDot. Aside from the greater ease of ranging, the thick bars on the MilQuad offer much better low light visibility. ILya

I've been trolling thru old threads and I'm beginning to see y'alls wisdom in recommending the 3-9 SS. I wish I had 4 of them. I'll have to struggle along with what I have till I get back to work. . Live and learn. I do like my 10 x SS even tho its a md but would prefer the MQ .
