Great question, and I'm glad you asked. This is a special, limited edition version of this rifle. Although it's a left hand rifle, Remington custom installed the bolt handle on the right hand side per customer demand and, through very clever engineering, they managed to make the .308 Winchester function in a short action.

I remember always having to ask my dad if a particular caliber was long action or short action to get the correct one piece base for it and it took me forever.  If it wasn't for that damn .270 always messing me up I would've had it sooner.

it's a right handed action for hunting but a left handed action for a bench rifle.... LOL!
