I picked up a s/s m7 in 300saum and now I am looking for scope with plenty of eye relief .  I am looking to spend less than $400 but would like a little more power than a 3x9.

I noticed that burris has a 4.5x14x42 with a spotter in another post but the eye relief looks a little short on the high side.

We sold a gun exactly like that not too long ago and our customer went with a Zeiss 3-9x40 Conquest.  Light weight and a constant 4" eye relief.

i would suggest a bushnell elite 4200, they are less than 400, and they are the clearist scopes that ive seen for under 500. if you want more than a 3-9, i would suggest the 4-16, while 16 ia a little high, it doesnt mean you have to crank it up all the way. and you get parralax adjustment, and a $100 gear bag. i have a model 7 ls in 300 saum, and i have a leupold VX-III on it. if you want the scope to be silver, there is the leupold VX-II 4-12. but right now, i cant get on to swfa to see how much that is.

Leupold has some pretty good eye relief there 4-12x40 was at 4.7 on the high side. You could get into a VXII for 399.95... then the VXIII jumps up to 559.95. They also make an EFR scope that has an eye relief up to 5". Your limited on powers though...3-9X33 and a 6.5-20x40. They go over you $400 mark but is an option. If you could sacrifice an inch or so that Burris scope and spotter combo would be a great choice.
