There is the possibly Greg Abbott could be shooting himself in the foot. I hope for Texas sake voters take "uncle" Ted's "endorsement" with a grain of salt.
The hypocrite that is "uncle" Ted very well could raise A LOT of money for the other side... unfortunately. http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/feb/19/ted-nugent-pre-campaign-trail-obamas-subhuman-mong/ |

Well the opposition (and that's what CNN is) always hate it when the truth is spoken.

"Uncle" Ted plays the part well that being a conservative. His actions past and present call him out though. It is easy to overlook how sick the "uncle" is in his hypocracy. Greg Abbott might have overlooked the fact that his "uncle" is a draft dodging child molester. How anyone can think "uncle" Ted has any creditably in the least is beyond me... unbelievable.

Like I have said before about Ted Nugent; What did you think you were going to get with a Rock Star. As Rock Stars go, Ted Nugent is pretty conservative, but he is STILL a ROCK STAR, and is not going to be a lilly white clean up standing preacher. He is going to have some baggage. Everybody has baggage, it's just that some people have more than others. Hell Rustic, I bet you got some bags in the closet too. I like Ted, even met him at the NRA Convention, he's a BIG DUDE, but he's not my idol. I take him for what he is, an out spoken rock star that's not afraid to say what's on his mind even if it hurts your feelings. The Democrats have people on there side that make Ted look like that upstanding preacher, but you don't see them raining them in when the are outspoken, and they seem to win elections. |

Yes, I do.
But, nothing like pinnacle of "uncle" Ted. Child molestation and draft dodging are about as high on the list of sick as one can get... IMHO. This Greg Abbott fella seems like a pretty decent guy and Texas is one of the key conservative states. He would do himself and the state a favor by picking someone with real crediablty. But then again very few of the voting public look into their politians and public figures to who they really are... just look at Obama - classic non-record but, he fit the mold of "feel good" voting with out knowing about him. There has to be some guilt by association. If there was some on Obama chances are we might not be in the mess we are in... one can only hope so. |

Rustic,
You've more than made your opinion of Ted Nugent crystal clear when you cut and paste verbatim quotes from Wikipedia in this thread, back when you were using the handle "stateside..." http://www.opticstalk.com/duh_topic38396_post533146.html?KW=Ted+Nugent#533146 No need to rehash the same, worn-out talking points over and over; they're already stale. Do you ever wish to talk about forum topics, or are you only interested in discussing politics? Optics Talk is a special interest discussion board focused on sports optics, hunting, shooting, and outdoor gear. Discussing politics except as it relates to firearms and forum-related subject matter is technically a violation of Forum Rules. There is no "Politics" section of this board for a reason -- the owner of this site, SWFA, does not want politics to enter into discussions here because this site is associated with their business. They made that clear in the rules you agreed to when you registered your (multiple) user-names, and since they own the site, they make the rules. How many times do we have to reiterate this to you? If you want to talk politics, do it on another forum devoted to politics or start your own discussion board devoted to politics. |

You keep apologizing and vowing to not "get carried away" again, yet you keep posting political posts as if we've not had this same conversation at least a dozen times already.
We've been patient and understanding with you, rustic. That patience is wearing thin. Don't do it anymore. This isn't a political forum. There will be no future warnings. |
