I have been looking at the Rock River LAR-8 Predator. What is the status with the availability of Mags. I am reading that they are hard to come by, Modification will be needed on many. No low capacity Mags that are listed seem to exist in the real world.
Folks ain't got a sense of humor no more. They don't laugh they just get sore.

Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow
Now the rules have changed again.

The LAR-8 mags are based off an unmodified FAL pattern. RR is getting mags in and filling their back orders now. I was told they should be in stock for new orders in two weeks at the earliest. If there is a buy now tab they are in stock. Another possibility is DS arms. RR mags are poly and DS arm mags are metal.

I would check the RR website and order directly from them.

'Moses' over on FAL Files is offering new manufacture mags.

For 'low cap' mags, you will have to root around a bit. Again , I would suggest; 'FAL Files'

I have the 2xRR LAR 8's 20" & 26" and the poly mags work best even if you have to rework them. It doesn't take long with the dremel. I have the metal FAL ones and they are a sloppy fit for my tastes. I ordered my poly ones when I ordered my last rifle and picked up several then. They have several sizes, but they are close to the same price so I just picked up the 20's.

Either way, you will love the workmanship on the RRA!!
