Try RE-7 for 45-70...IF you can find it, H322 works well too.

The only powder I absolutely can't find anywhere, is RE-15. That's my powder of choice for 9.3X62, 7mm-08, .308 and 5.56 if I'm loading heavy bullets.
I've tried to replace it with Varget and/or H4895 but lose either velocity or accuracy. In the case of the 9.3X62 I lost both.

Set me some aside if you can get it.

Chris if you can keep H-4350, Varget, and H-1000 on the shelves I doubt you would ever be without sales.
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

W748,,,Jeez ,,ya think ? Anyone mentioned TAC ?

Chris,,,I think you might have to settle for what you can get, when you can get it : ! Texas might still be a 'fruited plain',,but out here ,in the hinterlands, things are none too good.

H322, Varget, H4831.... most all the Varget powders are non-existent in Oklahoma. Any IMR powders listed here....... hmmmmm.  Like sombody said, I doubt if any of it would collect dust.

I'd assume most guys will want everything. However I find myself coming back to the same several powders over and over again, even though I've tried a great number of powders in a number of firearms.

I load for quite a few hangun calibers as well as rifle calibers. The powders I find myself using the most are:

AA#5, H-110, H-4895, IMR 4350 and RL-19.

I’ve found myself getting the best accuracy and velocity with those powders in my firearms.

For medium rifle:

Vihtavuori N140, 150, 540, 550.

They've always performed well for me, especially 150 in my 308.
Easy come easy go

Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.

The rifle powders I use the most are Ramshot Magnum and Ramshot TAC, closely followed by Hodgdon 4831SC, Ramshot Big Game, Ramshot Huinter and Ramshot X-Terminator.

I can't get Varget to meter, so I walked away from it.  I will use up what I have in my 22-250, but then I am done.

I will use Hodgon Superformance instead since it works so well in the 22-250.

The handgun powders I use the most are H-110 and Ramshot True Blue.  I do not reload for handguns all that much.

I am sorta particular about powders that meter well, hence I use a lot of Ramshot spherical powders.

Response to an old thread.

What would I go for if I only could have 3 powders for .204 Ruger, .22-.250, .243, 6mm AI, .260, 6.5X47 Lapua, 6.5-06, .280, .308, .30-06, .300 Win Mag.

IMR 8208, H4350, H1000. These are good fits for the above with the exception of the .308 that would need something slightly slower than IMR 8208 for 168's & 175's.

H1000 is a challenge to meter.

I wish I had a hogshed of H4350.
