I'm looking into purchasing a good pair of binos and was looking at the Vortex.  My question is for those who might know, are the 12x50 Razor HD worth twice the money as the 12x50 Viper HD's?  The Razor's are in my price range, however, past experience tells me not to spend 100% more dollars for 10% more quality/durability, etc....  Any feedback is appreciated.

I just got a pair of the Vortex Talon HDs yesterday from SWFA. I haven't spent much time with them yet, but they are pretty impressive for the price.

...and welcome to the OT!

Reaction time is a factor...

Thanks for the info.  I have read some good stuff about the Meopta Meostars as well and I see they too have a 12x50 bino.  Any feedback on these from anyone in the know would be nice too.

I just bought the 12x50 Viper HD's and I must say I really like them. I feel like the only down side to them is that they are big, not necessarily heavy but they are big. I like the glass on them a lot. Occasionally I think I may have gone a little to far with the 12x50's but overall I'm very happy with it.
