I'm installing a new scope using Warne Maxima rings. Their tolerances are supposed to be good but still wondering if I should lap them. What say ye..?

No.
And it may void the warranty. Normally I tell people to put the scope tube in the bottom ring halves and if it binds..., but you have no bottom ring halves. No, don't lap. If there is a problem, fix it otherwise.

Respect is something you earn. Equality is something you whine about not being given. |

Thanks RC. I haven't considered the warranty. But you're right, no bottom halves.
