Sorry for all the questions but trying to weigh all my options.

I have found a Swaro Z5 BRX or #4 for a good deal. I would like the ballistic reticle since long range hunting would be the purpose of this scope but the very thin reticle of the BRX has me very concerned for hunting shots in low light.

What are my options as far as changing to a thicker ballistic reticle or adding a dial with the #4?

I am also considering the Conquest HD5 3-15 with rapid Z 600 for about half the price. I own a 2-10 HD5 with Rapid Z600 and it is fine but would benefit from a parallax adjustment for closer fine target work since the parallax is fixed at 300 yards.

Basically, I don't like the weight of the HD5 and I don't like the reticles of the Z5. The Zeiss reticle in the Z5 would make it about perfect IMHO which is why I was interested in what reticles were available as an upgrade.

I would really like to own the Swaro since the HD5 is the best glass I have ever owned. I would love to try something even higher end while this opportunity exists.

I would even be willing to hear other suggestions in the $1200 range. I really want an adjustable parallax and light weight ( under 18 oz) Leica was to be a top pick but I read their warranty is only to the original owner.

Assuming the Z5 BRX reticle is the same as the ones that are on Z3s, you will find it too fine for hunting. You want the BRH reticle for that.
