I'm putting together a build sheet for a Remington 700 in .308.
I have decided to go with a SWFA 6x42. I am leaning towards Talley rings and base. I saw that they have rings with built in bases. But I have noticed that most people are using a pic rail with 20 MOA slope. This is my 1st gun with glass besides my 10/22 witch has some cheap POS on top of it. My questions are 1. Are the Talley rings with built in bases any good. 2. One piece or two piece base. 3. Is it worth the effort to bed the base? Or is it like sport bikes? You will never match the potential of the machine. Thanks

Talleys are fantastic. With a ss6-42 they would work well. U dont really need a 20 moa base as that scope has so much travel

Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.
