Just received a set of TPS aluminum rings to mount a Z3 4-12x50 on a EGW HD base. So far I'm very impressed with these rings and the combination with this base! I've read about different torque specs being used for the ring caps, 12, 15, 18, 20 and 25 inch pounds if using Warne. I was thinking about using what Swarovski recommends for the scope, 200 N-cm or 17.8 inch pounds, rounded out to 18? 12 seems a little low to me and if I stayed with Warne rings, 25 seems to tight for the scope spec.

TPS are really nice rings, for sure. I have a few sets myself. I'd go with between 15-18 INCH pounds for the cap screws and call it good. I concur that 25 in lbs seems a bit high.
There's a dedicated "torque spec" thread at the top of the Ring and Base Forum, that may be helpful.

Just finished mounting the scope and I'm even more impressed with these rings and base. I didn't lap them but I checked the alignment and it was dead on. 65 inch pounds is quite a bit of torque for the ring bases but it went well. One thing though, the gap that is left with these rings is very slightly wider on the rear ring. I guess even a higher end scope like a Swarovski has inconsistencies in tube thickness.

You remembered to line up the index marks on the rings, right?
