Earlier this week Chris told me there was a HUGE moth outside and when I have a moment, I should go take a picture of it.

Once I was able to get caught up, I grabbed my camera and went outside to discover what was a HUGE moth. I shot a couple of different angles of him and came to exhibit to everyone how he turned out.

This was a peculiar moth, like nothing I have ever seen. Specifically due to his size and camouflage. Just to supply some perspective, he was about the size of my palm, which is about 4" X 3", which is a big moth.

His coloring were also astonishing. It was like a digital pattern, much like what you would see many of our modern military wearing today. Mike looked at some of my photos and stated he looked like the British Vulcan Bomber.

Pretty cool, huh?

It is a Texan Vulcan Moth.

It amazes me at the color patterns that animals and insects have that allow them to just fade away in the scenery.

Nice photos Skylar.

Way cool! That's some VERY effective camo! That moth would be really hard to detect against tree bark!

He does look a lot like the Vulcan bomber!
