What is the warranty on a SWFA scope?  Also if I buy a used scope is it still under warranty?  Thinking about buying a used 16x and just want to know if I have problems as I screwed or is the warranty lifetime no matter what.

Used or new its covered lifetime. Basically unless you intentionally blow it up with a stick of dynamite, your covered.

good example

dynamite wont even scratch the paint off. Like cockroaches, the ss scope line is going to survive an atomic bomb.

I am aware of no warranty on SWFA riflescopes. Neither of mine had/have one. SWFA is reputed to stand behind their products indefinitely, but legally they have no obligation to do so, based on the lack of a written warranty.

HAS THE LACK OF WARRANTY SITUATION CHANGED IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS?

I will take a warranty of HONOR any day over a written warranty that is worthless.  Unless you need paper when you take a dump...
