As for 24hcf, if you go and search for Leica LRF binos there, likely more than half of the posts are you being a whiny SOB.

ILya

You'd be wrong again.

Unless I am mistaken, HD-R are roofs and HD-B are the new Perger porros.

I am looking at the HD-B 10x42s and when I am done sending them back to Leica will be VERY difficult.

Aside from the optical excellence, the shape of the barrels makes it easily the most comfortable binocular for me to hold of all I have tried.

I am referring to the HD-R type 402/3. Same optics as HD-B, different rangefinder and no SD slot. Leica's model naming leaves much to be desired.

That is indeed a weird naming scheme.

Isn't the type 402/403 the version that works for bowhunting?

Thanks

Yes it ranges closer with angle comp up close and out to (i believe) 600 yards, and even gives straight ranges to 1600.

Pretty nice and I believe $400 cheaper than the HD-B.

I stood next to Shaq once and I looked like a midget indeed, although I do not recall anyone verbalizing it.

Now my feelings are getting hurt. ILya and I are close to the same height, and I am not a midget. Shocked

I'm in China right now and there are a bunch of midgets here.
Anyway, I like the idea of reducing the size of the kit and a combo glass/RF is very appealing.

Not this time. I need to find where to look. In meetings and on plant tours all day.
