I was curious what the general opinion is on Primary Arms scopes? They have some competitive pricing and I am just getting into long distance shooting. I have purchased a Vortex Crossfire II for my .308. The scope I currently have is a 4-16x50, and is 2nd focal plane. I am going to be at a range that is 1000 yards. I want to be able to place a decent grouping. The two scopes I am looking at are:

Tim(MAC) from military arms channel uses one at 1000 in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGroqvya_is
It was the third budget scope he tried in the 1000 yards for $1000 project he did. I don't know how much of a long range shooter he really is though, or how much he really knows about optics. Could you live with a fixed power scope? Fixed power SWFA SS scopes seem to be a good bet in a budget long range setup.

I have the 4/14 ffp and am well pleased. Don't think you can beat it for the price and ffp to boot.
