Is there a halfway decent LFR under $100?
I only need it to work out to 300 yards to be honest. I just want to use it as a double check to make sure that I am ranging with mills correctly.

Your best bet is probably a used one.
I just listed one on an auction site for $50 that can do that easy. They depreciate in value pretty quick so used ones (in the sub 1000 yard) capability can be had pretty cheep.

I got the hunting version of the Bushnell V2 for just under $100.

Agree with d.id. It sounds like used LRFs are a good deal. You can find a Bushnell Pro on eBay for less than $100 if you look real hard.
