Hello all,

I've been searching for a scope and not finding exactly what I'm after. Does anyone know of something that will meet these specs?

Musts:

A) MOA; no mils. (reticle and turrets)

B) Horizontal hashmarks for elevation; no dots obscuring small targets. Indifferent to whether or not there are windage marks.

C) Consistent spacing between the stadia. 1 MOA increments would be great but no more than 2. Not certain if .5 would be too busy. No BDC reticles.

D) Good tracking or return to zero.

E) SFP. I've looked at a couple FFP scopes and the reticles are almost unusable at low power with my 51 year old eyes and progressive lenses.

F) Simple. I like the Vortex EBR-1, Trijicon Accupower MOA crosshair, Leupold TMOA.

The rest have wiggle room.

G) Magnification preferably near the 2-7x range but I have a couple possibles that range from 1-4x to 2.5-10x.

H) Illuminated reticle. No preference here.

I) Adjustable Objective. I waffle on this. Nice but one more thing to have to bother with while hunting?

I) $700ish (tax, CC fees, and shipping incl.) I can stretch this a bit for something truly exceptional.

The gun is finished except for a scope; Ruger takedown with a KIDD trigger and Beyer ultralight barrel. Most things being equal I'll opt for the smaller of 2 possible scopes to maintain a compact, lightweight gun.

I'll be using it for hunting (suppressed) rabbit and squirrel out to 150 yards.

Let me know if there's anything else I need to clarify.

Thanks,

Dan

Bitterroot,

Thanks for the link. Short list has now increased to 3 plus a possible from Leupold custom shop.
