I just got a Ruger precision rifle and have a Sightron S111 series 6x24x50 scope ,it has a 30mm tube body.Question is what rings do I get for this scope.Was looking at some Burris Xtreme tactical rings will they fit.Also do I need a High rings.Thanks Mike

LOL! I had just posted my own question in the "How to determine proper ring height" thread and then saw your post.
Yea, the 20MOA to flat (barrel axis neutral) has me a bit confused with a 50 objective scope. The forward tilt on the horizontal plane makes things tricky in deciding between high and xtra-high. BTW, see that Midwest Industries is making a more stable (as in it won't cant or loosen) M-LOK rail for the RPR? Yea, and less than $200 to boot! That and an aluminum bolt extension and the RPR is the perfect precision rifle! Love mine and was lucky to get it before next summer (Ruger accidentally sent wrong caliber to my dealer... right place, right time!). Hit ARFCOM Industry for more details. |
