I'm assuming the "Q" in the SWFA name stands for mil-quad but was does the plain "M" mean?
Also, is there any advantage to a side focus other than it may be easier to twiddle when looking through the scope?
I'm thinking about getting an SWFA fixed power for my M1A. I'm always tempted to go to a higher magnification due to my eye sight difficulties. However, I understand that when you get much over 10x on these scopes (maybe any other as well) they get significantly darker. Thnaks! |

Mil Quad.
Milliradians or Mils. Side focus vs rear can have advantages and disadvantages is personal preference. I think the Side View is considered to be better and might actually have advantages to the mechanics of the device. a 6x or 10 x would be a good purchase. The SWFA 3-9HD is the best for the Vision difficulties as it is the clearest brightest crispest and easiest to get behind most forgiving eyebox..... (I know some don't like that term it is like saying a good strong bore) |
