What's the lowest Talley that will work with an SS 3-9 or SS 3-15? There's no info I can see. Currently, I'm running the Warne mediums and have about 3/16" clearance from the objective bell to the barrel (at their closest points).
Reaction time is a factor...

Yes I saw the Superlite and had to have it !

The rifle with Leupold VX1 3-9x40 and factory rings Loaded weighs 6 pounds 12 ounces.

With the additional weight of the SWFA 6x42 add an extra 9 ounces
Somewhere around 3 ounces for the Rail and swfa rings.
So add approximately 12 ounces
So Rifle ready to go will weigh approx 7 and a half pounds.
That is Plenty light for a 270 Winchester. Recoil wise

I already have a Wheeler lapping kit from years ago.

The DNZ does not have the ring spacing I want.

I like the idea of the recoil lug of the Tikka Performance center rail as I feel like that will take care of my concerns about the shear forces with such a heavy scope and allow for more flexibility in ring spacing and scope placement.
