Spent a bit more time with all 4 of these today actually.  Glock 19 is super simple, easy to use, no complaints.  Went bang and functioned well even with crappy wolf 9mm, hitting clay pigeons on the 100 yard back stop without much difficulty.

Glock 40...well, got my replacement vortex venom, the one i told them looked used when they sent to me even showing them pictures, but they insisted it was new.  2nd round fired the battery cap and battery flew off at a rapid velocity striking me in the forehead....WTF.....coincidentally, i had never sighted this in and i hit a dead nuts on a 1" sticky target at 10 yards...i mean dead on.  Amazing that i could just take it from the box and put it on and get that...probably supports it was used as I thought and mounted before.

Tanfoglios....both functioned flawlessly again, didnt get the FO front sights but a overcast day again reminded me i need to get off my rear and order those.

That thing on the left....my old ride, some days I miss her.

How would you compare the Glock 17 to 19?

I dont have a G17...just the G40 10mm on left and the G19.

I should say that i shot lights out with the G19.  I got the gen 4 and put the beavertail on it right away...I hate to admit but I love this polymer gun.  It pains me to say that but it shoots so darn well for me.

Eats anything i feed it, no recoil, i dont feel bad if it gets scuffed...it just works and works well.  I wouldnt have touched a glock but got one in 10mm due to lack of choices...that led me to the 19, and now I have a G43 on the way for the wife.  She shot that very well first time at range, she hasnt shot a ton but she was by far the most consistent shes ever been.

Never thought I would be a glock guy....but I would bet ill buy more.

Since I first picked up a Glock, I've been hooked... they just fit me, I guess.

Once had a Colt Commander, stainless, in .38 Super.  Loved it, very effective, very accurate... carried it whenever I was in the desert.  One of the items I sacrificed for a down payment on my first house.  I always hated that house...

New toys arrived....glock 43 talo and smith Wesson shield performance center with the fiber optic sights and ports. Glock talo has front night sight with orange hi vis as well.

Haven't shot smith yet but glock feels tighter and more refined, plus a bit more concealable. Will go shoot them this weekend, to get it ready for wife of course.

You missed the whole category of revolvers.Stare  much to be said for .357 and .44

Was it your birthday? Shocked   WOW   I'd love to go buy more than one at a time, not happening.

For many years I avoided Glock until State of Iowa issued G22 and I do appreciate when something is reliable so for the last 15 yrs I have carried Glock. Never had a 10mm but lots of time with the 40 S&W. I tend to prefer the gen 3 gun for carry because the gen 4 has rather a rough texture to the grip.

 Milt Sparks holsters.
