http://swfa.com/EOTech-552-Military-Holosight-Rev-F-P297.aspx

I was going to order one of these for my ar. A friend of mine said they were having trouble with them holding their zero with temperature change. I goggled it and there are many complaints. Are they still having problems with them or should I do with a aimpoint .Thanks. I will just be target shooting with it.

Get an Aimpoint Patrol or better yet, a Micro. IMHO, of course.

I've had the EOTech model 512 for about 6 or 7 yrs now. Shoot in all kinds of temps, never, ever have I had any problem with it.

I much prefer an Aimpoint Comp M4s which uses a AA battery that can be found anywhere.  I am also really fond of Trijicon Compact ACOG's  and think the 2x with red crosshair reticle would be a great choice probably my first choice currently. I mount mine on a  La Rue   RCO mount which works very well and brings it all the way back.
