I was looking at one of these scopes in a local shop a few days ago and have to say it is quite impressive, I was allowed to take it outside and look around a bit and it is very very clear, this coming from a guy who has 3 older Leupold Vari-X models. From what I have read online the scope also tracks and adjusts very well also, any of you gentlemen tried one of these Nikon's ? What was your experience?

I can't find EFR in the catalog. I don't know which scope you mean. But, I don't have one anyway. I've had two or three Nikon scopes. I liked them.

I have 2 and they are great for a 3x9.
I've had a number of leupold 3x9EFR's. If I was buying a 3x9 I would buy the Nikon and do it before they are all gone. |

I purchased one of the Nikon 223 BDC scope for about 150, the scope is nice and clear and I have no real complaints there. The issue I had with mine is that it would not hold zero on a .223 rifle. I sent the scope back to Nikon a total of 7 times, scope still won't work on my .223 so I gave up and put it on a .22 where it works fine. Tracks like garbage, but at least it holds a zero.
I believe that my experience with Nikon was one of the few rather than the many, most seem to love their Nikon scopes and have no issues but for me I will never buy another Nikon again after that headache. Lifetime warranty is pretty worthless if they can't fix broken scopes. If you are getting it for your .22 I think you would be happy, for an airgun I am not sure as they have different recoil impulses and I have no idea how it would hold up to one of those. |

I have one they are a great 22 scope. I shoot indoor and out, lots of golf balls at 100 yds. The scope works great. I've got a bunch of higher power ones on other 22's but the little Nikon works.
