is anyone here familiar with ELCAN scopes? im tempted to mount a 6x42 on my steyr chris i used the search function but no dice

The ELCAN scopes are built like tanks.  Made in Canada and used by Canadian forces.  Brighter and more durable than an ACOG, plus more magnification.

The tritium reticle lights up at night with no batteries.  The mount allows you to adjust for bullet drop at different yardages by turning the dial.

would u forsee one of these attached to a bolt action rifle? the mag nification is right ..... 6x42 but the crosshair seems kind of ungainly for precision shootng

Would not be my first pick on a bolt gun.  They were designed and built for a very specific application (fast target acquisition in any light on multiple moving targets at mid to long ranges).  Would make a good hog huntin' scope.
