Hello, I'm wanting to find a nice fit to my new 17AH Cooper rifle.  I'm new to the smaller 17 caliber and would like some direction from fellow small caliber shooters that shoot smaller game from the 50-200 yard ranges.

I am drawn to the fixed power scopes and have pretty much decided that the type of scope I want.  The magnification is where I struggle.  Here are some that I like

What are you going to be using this rifle for?   Just varmint hunting?  For me a 50-200 yard gun doesn't need much magnification unless your bench shooting for groups.  A 2-7 or 3-9 would be sufficient.  then again a fixed might be just as good.   If you like target knobs this SWFA exclusive is nice from Leupold -

Yes, it would be just for hunting.  Thank you for providing that link, that looks like a nice scope, do you know if I could get this with the Leupold Dot reticle?

I have Swarovski Z5 3.5-18x44 on mine and it works great for p-dogs. I did have mine cut off and rechambered for 17 Hornady Hornet.
