I am really interested in the Nikon  inline xr for my cva mr, the thing is when I checked the bdc they don't have the harvester pt gold in 260 or 300 grn on the list.  do you have to change your bullet to one on the list ?  the thing is they shoot so good in my muzzle loader.

thanks

I'm not a smoke pole guy, but I would think that just like any scope, the subtensions will always "work," but you may have to do some homework to figure out what your actual point of aim is for your load and distance combination.  So many variables in ballistics that it's only responsible to check.  Even if you're using a nikon p-223 for .223/5.56, differences in barrel length and whether you're using M193 or M855 ammo can make a huge difference.  I would imagine that the XR would be no different.  You just need to dope your load with that scope and hit the woods.  Just my $0.02.  Good luck.

You'll have to "shoot 'em in" regardless of caliber or bullet, as Mr. Decker already stated.

I have an old Nikon Monarch Gold 1.5-6 X 42 30mm on my TC G2 Contender .45 and I have it sighted in for 100 yards. My load is 90 gr by volume of Blackhorn 209, CCI 209 mag primers and a 195 grain .357 diameter Precision Rifle bullet. I won't attempt a shot over 150 yards but I'll shoot 150 with confidence.

sorry it took so long to reply  you know how retired people are.   I did mount the Nikon inline xr on my cva mr.  I ended up taking it off  I had a hard time getting used to those rings.  I gues I'm old custom. I like the duplex.  looking for a 2.5-10 by 40 now.
