OK, sorry for no pics,

Wild Sockeye, sautéed in butter, with roasted red peppers, a very light pasta salad with herbs, lemon, olive oil & garlic. Sprouted grain bread from Wegman's Bakery. Of course accompanied by my favorite Amish butter.

Finished off with Colloca Vineyards " The Chateau 2010 " Vineyards are located about 12 or 14 miles west of us on the Lake Ontario.

YUMMO!

I think wild sockeye salmon with it's deep orange color is the shizzle. It has a much fuller taste than the blandness of farm raised. I have been buying it up at my local Busch's frozen and shrunk wrapped. The shrunk wrapped whole fillets last a long time.

I have been planking them on cedar or in the skillet with olive oil and chopped garlic with a sprig of dill on top. I get Amish butter myself, Skip and it is excellent. The bread and pasta I have been avoiding, though. It sure sounds good.

Right on with the wild Doug, farm raised isn't worth buying. We can buy it fresh at Wegman's Market which is a half hour drive away. I get the Amish butter from a customer in PA but I believe it's made in Illinois.

I'll only buy the wild salmon. Had some sockeye over apple wood on the grill the other night with fresh dill, salt, pepper and some powdered lime crystals. It was just right.

The way I see it, you get to have more booze and butter because you had the salmon.

Latest:

Drizzle with soy sauce, sprinkle with a teaspoon or so powdered ginger, powdered garlic, dried shallots, a teaspoon raw sugar, pepper and a dash of cinnamon. Grill loosely wrapped in foil.

Served with baby potatoes and peas it was all gone. Usually the kids aren't that hot on eating salmon.
