In 1994 I bought a Leopold 12 - 40 spotting scope for $450.
Now the same scope sells for around $1,000. Just amazing. And its newer HD version is another $500. Guess I should list that scope in my will! Eric B. |

Just an FYI they are not even remotely the same scope. Things have change a lot in 22 years.

Sparky,
Thanks for the welcome. This site is a goldmine of info. I've put my Leopold 12 - 40 compact scope beside the same new Leopold and they are exactly the same optically. It's the HD version that is better. Eric B.
