Any ballistic style MIL or MOA reticle that has a complex set of hash marks, floating dots/dashes, etc. HAS to be glass etched. It isn't possible to make a reticle with those features out of wire or stamped metal, since these designs have floating and very thin, unsupported design elements. Some standard MIL dot reticles or other very simple designs can be exceptions.
