I pulled the trigger on a used Leica. It's the older silver 62mm APO televid with locking zoom eyepiece.
I got it for a very fair price. The body has some scratches but the glass is mint and it came with a neoprene case.
Anyone care to give me their thoughts on this spotter? I debated about holding out for a swaro 65mm HD but from the prices I've seen lately it would have cost me another $600 or so to go with a used swaro over the Leica.
Thoughts? I've been told that the Leica is up there with the swaro as far as views and is a great lightweight spotter. I know I'm giving up some performance by not going with an 80mm, but weight plays a big factor since I'm mostly a backpack hunter.
Thanks!

I have the televid apo 77 and love it.   In bright sun light with moderate mirage I have been able to read the printing on guys t-shirts scoring my target at 1000 yards.   Bullet holes at 1000 yards can be tough to see but can be done.

Got to do a side by side comparison with a Swaro once. I could get on target guicker with the Leica and had brighter colors. I think the Swaro had slightly better resolution but it was hard to tell them apart.

I think you will be very happy with your Leica.

Try it some time on a full moon it's brightness will almost hurt your eye and the image is something to remember.
