I picked up one of these scopes on Black Friday....got it on the rifle, (6.5 Creedmoor),
today, and got it sighted in....Good OL' Leupold steel rings and mounts, dovetail front,
Windage adjustable back. I gotta tell ya'll this thing is a wonder !  I like it so well, I would
buy a couple three more if I could afford them. l love the glass, and I already have a
3 x 15 - 42 SWFA SS.
the only thing I do not like is the Parallax Adjustment, (or Side Focus), is way to tight.

anybody know if there is a way to loosen it up a tad ?  I would shore like to if possible.

it's so hard to move, that even trying to work it to loosen it is a PITA.

anyhow, all in all it's a really great scope at a wunnerful price...

THANX SWFA GUYS

typically before I mount my scopes I'll manipulate the parallax quite  a bit to work the grease in and loosen it up.

Possibly it won't give you any trouble but your weak link in that outfit is definitely the windage adjustable rear mount. Dual dovetails would be much more secure. Personally I prefer a rail properly installed and quality rings.

"weak Link"  ? ?   pardner, I've been using these mounts and rings for over 40 years,
and have NEVER had any kind of a problem with them.....I don't know where you got that idea, but in my experience, (which has been considerable), that's completely WRONG.

Do at your own risk but you could take a pair of vise grips and some rubber pieces and just barely lock the grips on the dial with the rubber protecting the dial and use it as a lever to help twist.... I've done that before when one was mounted and I as having trouble... just be very very careful to only grip hard enough to turn it and not mare or damage it.

LOL....funny you should mention that....I thot of that too...

"Great minds think alike" ???

I was actually also thinking of taking the thing apart and cleaning some of
the goo out of it..... but decided to live with it for a while and see how it goes....

I can always do more later on if it doesn't loosen up a bit.

thanx for the idears there Mr. SVT
