Need a spotter....can I beat the 16-48 angled on clearance for 800? Range and sightseeing usage.
That thing on the left....my old ride, some days I miss her.

I have that scope except with the straight eyepiece and like it a lot. In that price range I don't think you would find much better. imo

Thanks. I have had a couple vortex products and while they were ok I certainly didn't put the viper I had as high on a list compared to others. My venom was a used unit shipped to me that was broke and had to be sent in and they sent me the same used unit back.

Have heard a lot of good things in the gen 2 razor for rifle scopes, but in still not a kool aid drinker yet

If the 16-48 was ever offered with a ffp reticle, it would sell like hot cakes! I have never used one other than free handing it outside a store in Colorado, but it was much better than my 15-45 mini gold ring Lueppy.
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

For what it's worth I have the 85mm old-style Razor. It is hands-down the best glass that I have ever used in the field (and therein lies the problem, I have not spent enough time behind any of the really spendy glass to give you an accurate comparison, so please ingest an appropriate number of grains of salt with my commentary)

For the money, I would say that the Razor HD's are a screaming deal and hard to beat right now.

There IS a ranging reticle option for the Razor HD "old" scopes. You can get a 30X fixed eyepiece and pop it in. It's made for the 85mm, but I believe that it can be used with the 65mm (although it delivers less than 30x in that configuration, and you would want to double-check some sources to see if there is a conversion factor that must be applied to the reticle). If you want MOA, you can probably find one without too much trouble, but finding one of the (now discontinued) eyepieces in mils is likely to be nigh on impossible.

I haven't made a choice yet. Been spending money like I drink beer lately and that's getting expensive. Thank you for the information.
