I'm fairly mechanically inclined, and was wondering if it's possible to change a scope reticle, specifically on an older German scope myself. Is this a question of removing an assembly that contains the reticle, or glueing thin plastic in?

Years ago I had an old Redfield scope with a broken crosshair. Being the mechanically inclined guy I am, I figured I'd just repair it myself. I had the "smart" idea of using human hair for the reticle. It looked like two log had been used for a crosshair :) That put an end to my scope repairs.
