I can't recall if we had this discussion already, but any thoughts on Rock Islands 22TCM and 22TCMr?

I am kinda intrigued by a fast light bullet out of a pistol (always liked that idea, for plinking and other things) and I see Armscor is offering a Glock conversion kit.

If they made on for a large frame Glock accompanied with a 6" barrel, I would have already owned one, probably.

Any thoughts?

Wow hadn't heard of that.  It is indeed fast.

Whats the "r"?  I can't find any info on that.

"r" is the version with a short bullet, so it can fit in a Glock 17 mag.

The original TCM is designed to fit in 45/10mm size mags.

One of the reasons I am curious is that the slide should be easier to manipulate for people with weak hands (i.e. my wife).

On the other hand, since I like to shoot pretty far away with a handgun, high speed and flat trajectory are interesting.

As far as slide being easier.  Just an FYI, my 9mm 1911 slide it super easy vs my 1911 45 slide.  I was surprised at how easy it was.  Less spring pressure than our xd 9s.

1911s don't for me unfortunately. I am a Glock shooter for the most part.

I am not sure what you are getting at, Wes.

Does Bullberry do something with 22TCM?

If you really like fast cartridges they chamber a lot of pistol barrels for TC Encore pistols and do some nice work.  I thought you might enjoy looking through the list of calibers they chamber pistol barrels in.  Might find one that you like.  I have 44mag and 45-70 but have had .308 and would like to pick up a couple other calibers sometime.  220 Swift would be pretty cool.

I keep on thinking about an Encore handgun, but can't quite get myself to get one.  I will buy an "Ernie style" handgun one day though.

22TCM is of interest because it is an upper for my Glock.
