Recently picked up a Lithgow LA101 22LR bolt action rifle.  Not real familiar with them, but Lithgow is a firearms manufacture down in Australia.

These aren't cheap with prices in the Anschutz 1416 range, but definitely worth the price of admission.   Larger than the Anschutz but not quite full size as the Ruger 77/22 or Winchester Model 52.

Legacy Arms is the only US distributor, who my local dealer contacted to order one for me.  Aftermarket accessories are limited and trigger is not adjustable, but this rifle can shoot.

Quick range report on the Lithgow LA101.  After dialing in the scope, shot an assortment of 22LR ammo through it, which included the following:

- CCI Mini-Mag
- Federal Gold Medal HV Match
- Aquila 22 Match
- Eley Tenex
- Eley Match
- Lapua Midas+

Winner was Lapua Midas+ that shot a five shot 5/16” group at 50 yards off of bipods and rear bag.  Worse was Federal Gold Medal HV Match at 13/16”.  CCI Mini-mag came in at 12/16".  Both Eley Match and Target came in at 7/16” and Aquia 22 Match at 10/16”.  First rounds through the rifle and no doubt this one can shoot.

Money well spent.

Nice rifle, Mike!

I've never heard of Lithgow Arms. I went to their website, and I like the looks of the 101 rimfire. I like features of their 102 centerfire rifle as well, except like too many other rifle manufacturers, they botched the barrel twists on all 3 chamberings they offer.
