From all the lever guns I've bought lately, I've been looking at getting a pair of 45 saa. I have a 357 Uberti El Patron and like it much. I am also all set up for 38/357 on progressive...but just want the 45s.
Anyways, been thinking about the Uberti Gunfighters as they have a bit bigger grip to keep the pinky on. Have not held them as have not found in person...hoping someone may have some thoughts? The El Patron I have is listed as hand tuned and some upgrades springs...how much will I tell on difference with the non tuned cattleman series? Not really interested in vaqueros as I have had some and not shooting in any matches...just want for the hell if it and will get. A matching lever. Appreciate any insight on something I may have overlooked. Thanks |

My opinion is based entirely on looks. I like the higher hammer on the standard El Patron. For the same reason I like the 5.5 inch barrel.
