To shoot 4 of my deer rifles at 100 yards, except 30-30.

1. Is Remington 700 AAC-SD in 308. I have a couple handloads that show real promise, but it is still stringing shots. 46.2g BL-C2 and a Nosler 168 BT put 3 shots in less than an inch, 2 touching, nealy the same hole. 46.5g of same which is the max load listed on Noslers websit was under an inch also. 46.5g of CFE 223 and a 165 Hornady BTSP was also under an inch. It is getting a new stock, I am done with this pillar bedded Hogue.

2. Ruger M77 Mk11 Stainless Laminate in 7-08. 16.5 in barrel. I pulled a handload off the internet for CFE223, picked a number out of the range, which ended up being 42g. Shooting a 140g Remington Accutip, it did an inch. 120gr Nosler BT's with 48g H414 show promise. Gun is sighted in for Winchester Supreme BST's. Handload 1 was about 1.5 inches low, the BT was 2 inches high.

3. Remington BDL 270 in Hogue bedding block stock. This gun has been sub MOA with its pet handload, which is a 130g Hornady SP over 52g H414. Didn't have that today. Shot some Superformance. I had 2 touching and one flier. Then shot some Federal Premium 130g BT, same scenario. This gun has a really light trigger, so, after shooting the other two, I feel certain I pulled my fliers with a surprise discharge. I had some reloaded 140g Hornady SP over 48.5g H414 that shows promise too. I need to tinker with that gun and see what i can get a BT or something to shoot. Wish my 308 trigger was like this one. It breaks clean.

4. 1971 Marlin 30-30. I bought this gun last year as my X-mas present to myself. I sighted it in a 50 yards. It has a 2-7x33 VX1 on it. Winchester gray box 150's shot horrible. Then I shot some Remington Hog Hammers. HOLY MOLY. 3 shots probably under .75 in, with the awfully heavy trigger pull. I adjusted the scope to drop the POI about .75 in, and fired another 3 shot group. IDENTICAL!!! I forgot my leverevolution, but considering the way the Hog Hammer shoots, I believe I will just shoot it. Only 5 inches low at 200 yds according to the Nikon Spot on program the way I have it sighted in. Now if I could get the trigger pull a little lighter.

I managed to score probably 100 once fired 308 cases from a dude shooting an AR10. All in all I probably fired over 100 rounds. Most out of 308. My 7-08 second, it doesn't even have a recoil pad, and its just a sweet shooter. I think if I remage barrel my 308 SSD, I will have a tough time choosing between 7-08 or going back with 308.
