If you are willing to spend some money, search for a mint, used Swaro SV 10x50.  It has no peer, and I'be been fortunate to own, have owned, or used many of the top end models.

What problems were you having with them?

Sparky, I did not find the Kowa's comfortable in my hands or against my face. They felt somewhat cumbersome.

I was disappointed at how quickly I lost the ability the resolve at last light. I had a co-worker's Nikon Monarch HG 10x42 and they gave me several more minutes of resolution at last light.

I also experienced blurring at the edges of the Kowa. The Nikon did not exhibit this blurring.

Actually I was pretty impressed with the Nikon HG, it's currently on my list. I am going to try to find a 10x50 Swaro EL to try. A huge difference in price but I want to see if I can see the difference.

Randy

Thanks Randy. I would keep an eye on the sample list for a Swaro. A good way to save some money.
